Concept - On Theme | A sober blend and simplistic presentation of two traditional crafts | A popular wave pattern depicting water in the Worli' and other folk art form. Warli' Painting is a tribal art formed by the tribal people of India's North Sahyadri Range. This tribal art style developed in Maharashtra and is still practiced there today.
'Wood Block Printing' - is the process of using engraved wooden blocks to imprint designs onto fabric. It is the oldest and most skillful form of printing on textiles and gives results that are so distinctive, appealing and natural that can only be achieved with this hand printing method. The process involved carving a design on a wooden block, preparing the colour, colouring the block with a pre-prepared colour pad and then using the coloured block as a stamp to imprint the design onto a piece of cloth stretched out on a flat, cushioned table. This traditional art form has been present in India since at least the 12th century.
